Do you enjoy cozy winter evenings with your significant other? Winter date nights are some of my favorite of the year because it usually calls for lots of snuggles, hot cocoa, and warm fires. If you loved the 5 fall date ideas, I am sure you will love these romantic holiday date ideas.
1. Ice Skating
Find a local ice skating place to go and enjoy a fun date night! I am terrible at ice skating, so I end up laughing at myself so much and spending time struggling alongside my husband, but we are building memories that we will treasure a lifetime!
2. Hot Chocolate + Christmas Movies
Snuggle up under the blankets with a mug of hot chocolate and tune in for a marathon of your favorite holiday movies. I recommend classics like Elf, Home Alone, Christmas Vacation, and The Santa Clause. Pick out some favorites and enjoy an evening in with your significant other!
3. Go Thrift Shopping for Ugly Christmas Sweaters
How fun would this be?! Go to a local thrift store and pick out each others ugly Christmas sweaters to wear to a fun party this year! Make an evening of it by grabbing dinner before!
4. Look at Neighborhood Christmas Lights
Hop in your car and spend the night driving around neighborhoods well-known for their extravagant holiday decorations! Nothing beats good conversation and admiring the gorgeous Christmas lights together! Grab a cup of coffee on the way to enjoy while looking at the lights!
The Zoo Lights is also another fun way to stroll and look at Christmas lights!
5. Decorate a Gingerbread House
Get your creative juices flowing and decorate a gingerbread house together! Buy a pre-made kit, or if the two of you are ambitious, you can build your own house from scratch!
6. Head to a Christmas Tree Farm
Embrace the outdoors and head out to a Christmas tree farm to choose and cut down your own tree. If you don’t want a real tree, take a couple of photos in the tree farm together! It makes for fun holiday photos to share with your families!
7. Bake Together
Holiday baking is a tradition for lots of people. It’s a fun, hands-on way to get into the holiday spirit and indulge just a little bit. Pick a family recipe and get to baking together!
8. Decorate Your Home Together
Deck those halls! Why not whip up a festive holiday drink and decorate your place in all of your holiday decor! It can be such fun decorating your place together for the holiday season!
9. Christmas Lights Scavenger Hunt
Have a Christmas light scavenger hunt by creating a list of very particular things (e.g. reindeer decorations, icicle lights, an inflatable snowman, candy canes, etc.) and then go to find them together.
10. Volunteer Together
There’s no shortage of volunteer opportunities around the holidays, so choose a day to freely offer your time and undertake responsibilities together. Head to my post here where I round up 10 ways to give back this holiday season for some ideas!
11. Have An Adult Slumber Party
Sleep in the living room one night under the Christmas tree. Grab some hot cocoa, enjoy your favorite Christmas movie, and reminisce about the days of slumber parties with your friends!
12. Have A Game Night In
On those painfully cold nights, have a game night in! Feel like a kid again when you play checkers, Connect Four or Monopoly on your living room floor next to the Christmas tree!
My biggest recommendation is to MAKE MEMORIES! I love finding date ideas for my husband and me to change things up with. Hope you found some ideas to try this holiday season. Let me know of any fun holiday date ideas you have!

Ashley
