Do you struggle to maintain a clean home and a daily cleaning routine? We’re all busy! We live life in our homes, therefore daily messes will always present themselves. Daily messes that we are in charge of cleaning, no less.
It can be extremely overwhelming to keep up with all of the chores that present themselves on a daily basis. So I am sharing my easy, 10-minute daily cleaning routine that is simple to implement, but will help you maintain a clean and tidy home everyday.
Wash All of the Dishes in the Sink
Tackling the dishes in your daily routine allows you to have a fresh, clean kitchen each day. Walking into a clean kitchen, it helps to not feel overwhelmed before you begin cooking. I love to use Scotch-Brite® Scrub Dots Scrub Sponges and Scotch-Brite™ Advanced Soap Control Dishwand to ensure my dishes are clean and scratch-free. The Scotch-Brite® Scrub Dots Scrub Sponge scrubs fast, rinses clean and doesn’t trap food. The Scotch-Brite™ Advanced Soap Control Dishwand is easy on your hands, has a button that allows for precise soap control and dispensing and has a valve to prevent leaking no matter how it is stored.
All of the 3M Scotch-Brite and Scotchgard products can be conveniently found at your local Kroger in the household cleaning section. Kroger is one of my favorite grocery stores, because they truly are a one-stop shop for everything you need to manage a household. You can locate the nearest Kroger to you for in-store visits or grocery pickup here.
Wipe the Kitchen Counters
Wiping the counters is a simple task that allows for you to begin each day with fresh countertops. I am not sure about you, but my counters can get dirty really quick. So a daily cleaning helps to ensure I am maintaining a clean and tidy home.
Add Any Large Chores to My Weekend List
For any items that I need more time to complete, I will compile a list throughout the week. For example, scrubbing the showers, mopping the floors, cleaning toilets, and washing sheets. Another item I add to my weekend list: protecting the upholstery pieces in my home with Scotchgard™ Fabric & Upholstery Protector. Scotchgard™ Fabric & Upholstery Protector is the leader in fabric protection as it repels liquids and blocks stains, has a strong protection that pushes stains away from fabric fibers to ensure the stain releases easily, does not change the look or feel of the fabric, and is safe to use on delicate fabrics such as silks and wools. Each weekend, I tackle any items in my home that need the extra protection offered by Scotchgard™ Fabric & Upholstery Protector. You can find the Scotchgard™ Fabric & Upholstery Protector at your local Kroger through in-store visits or grocery pickup here.
Vacuum/Sweep All of the Main Areas
We have dark hardwood floors that show everything. Between two shedding cats and two humans, the floors need to be maintained daily. By vacuuming the main areas on a daily basis, you prevent continued buildup and ensure less work for yourself at a later date.
Pick Up All of the Clutter from that Day
This task is huge. By doing a daily pickup, you are reducing the amount of work you have to do at a later date. I try to keep my home as decluttered as possible, so for the most part, I don’t have to deal with large piles of clutter or random things sitting around. To assist with this task, create a place where everything belongs. This is an essential component to a clutter-free home. By doing this task daily, it has hugely impacted the time I spend at a later date cleaning.
I believe that if I follow these steps each day to keep my home tidy and clean, then I live a much more stress-free and relaxed life. I do not do well in a messy home, as my husband can attest to, so by following a routine I find myself living life more enjoyably.
My hope is you can implement these easy steps into your daily cleaning routine to help you maintain a clean home! Let me know any tips and tricks you have below in the comments!
xx,
Ashley
