Valentine’s Day is always a fun day celebrating your love with your significant other. Yes, it is cheesy, but I love going on dates with my husband. While this day is fun to celebrate, we should be dating our spouse regularly. Find time each week or each month to date your spouse! I love coming up with out of ordinary date ideas other than the usual dinner plans, so I have compiled a list of date ideas for you guys below that you can do this year!
Take a Cooking Class Together – Enjoy taste testing and sipping on wine while learning how to make amazing meals from a chef! If you are wanting to not get out, then plan a cooking date for you and your spouse at home! Put on some great music, pour a glass of wine, and tackle some recipes together that you haven’t tried before!
Have a Day Date – Choose a day date instead of a more traditional night out. By going out for brunch/lunch, catching a matinee, grabbing your favorite frozen yogurt or enjoying a date at your local coffee shop, you can take advantage of lower prices and fewer people. Then, reserve the evening for relaxing at home with your Valentine!
Reread Your Vows – How amazing does this sound? Enjoy a night in with dinner, watch your wedding video or look through photos, and reread your vows you made to each other at your wedding. Seems like such a special night!
Go On Your First Date Again – Make the day extra sweet my recreating your first date, right down to that awkward half hug or cheek kiss you shared at the end of the night. Get on with the cheesiness and enjoy that awkward date again!
Work Up a Sweat Together – Do something unusual and go work up a sweat together! Take a workout class, enjoy a bike ride together, or go for a hike!
Spa Date – Jimmy and I love getting a facial and massage especially when we are enjoying it together! It is so nice to just relax for a couple hours!
Take a Dance Class Together – This has been on my list forever and I just need to sign us up for one already! This is fun and sexy and seems like such a fun way to celebrate this holiday!
Sunset Picnic & Star Gazing – Prepare a picnic and head to your local park for a sunset dinner followed by stargazing! One of our first few dates was a sunset picnic in the park followed by star gazing! It is a memory I think back on fondly!
Netflix, Cuddles & Popcorn – Enjoy a night in on the cough binging your favorite show while snuggling and munching on popcorn!
Moonlight Stroll – We leave close to a beach, so I thought this would be such a great idea! If you don’t live near a beach, take a stroll at a local lake or park! Just getting out and enjoying a moonlight stroll taking in the time together is something I wish we did more!
I wanted to include some ideas for those of you celebrating galentine’s day with some of your favorite gal pals!

If you are celebrating alone this year, know that I am praying for you and your time will come! I know it can be tough, but try to make the most of it! I wanted to include some ideas for those of you celebrating by yourself below!
Massage + Facial: tune out from the world and enjoy a relaxing evening to yourself!
Cozy Night In: Turn off your phone (do you really wanna see all of those love photos all over social media?) and enjoy a marathon of your favorite show or cuddle up with a good book!

I think the most important thing is not how much you spend, but truly just enjoying time together. However that looks for you, do it! Life is so short and I don’t think we take advantage of the time we have with our significant other enough! Go love on and enjoy a date this Valentine’s with your significant other!
I hope you enjoyed this date ideas list and found the perfect date night idea whether you are celebrating with a significant other, your friend, or alone!
xx,
Ashley
